Wind Flow Politics reports that the Nigerian Senate plans to hold a special session in honor of late former president Muhammadu Buhari.
The Senate leadership announced that this special session will take place on Wednesday.
The purpose of the special session is for the Senate to reflect on the life, legacy, and contributions of late former president Buhari to Nigeria’s growth.
Previously, the Federal Executive Council, led by President Bola Tinubu, held a similar session to pay tribute to the late Buhari.
The Federal Executive Council’s session last Thursday included attendance by the late Buhari’s family, including all his children.
During that session, President Tinubu announced the renaming of the University of Maiduguri in Borno State to Muhammadu Buhari University in honor of the late former president.
